Recurrent noninvasive bladder cancer over three years

I had recurrent noninvasive bladder cancer over three years. After multiple recurrences and resections my urologist decided to administer a 6 week course of BCG. I did have significant symptoms which at least meant meant I was responding. I had one urine infection which delayed my overall course – but eventually the treatment finished.

There was a BCG shortage at the time I was due to have maintenance treatment so I only had half the courses. After another three years I had one recurrence but I have stayed disease free since then.

If the cancer was to recur I can still have another 6 week course of BCG.

I hope it stays away so I am staying fit and of course I quit smoking the day I was diagnosed.
